I was able to go up to Christ’s Seminary in Polokwane last week and interview a number of the professors on preaching in a traditional African culture.
I am planning on going up again in November to interview a number of the students on the traditional African worldview on issues like God, money, death, etc.
What is more we might being having a little break through here this week. I am meeting with a pastor from one of the local townships today who is going to take me on a tour through the township, show me different needs and help me better understand how we as a church can help. Needless to say I am pretty excited.
Also, Marda had a long talk with a godly lady yesterday from a local orphanage who told Marda she would be very glad to help us get involved in serving orphans. It may end up that we don’t need to reinvent the wheel but can learn and serve by partnering with their work in our local area.
