Flat tire. Angry email. Upset stomach.
You name the problem. We never know what is going to happen in a day. But whatever happens there are a few things we know for sure about God.
1.) He knows what is best.
“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.” Is. 40:28
2.) He wants what is best.
“Good and upright is the Lord; therefore he instructs sinners in the way.” Ps. 25:8
3.) He can accomplish what is best.
“Whatever the Lord pleases, he does, in heaven and on earth, in the seas and all the deeps.” Psalm 135:6
These truths about God don’t stop us from focusing on our responsibility. The opposite. They free us up to focus on our responsibility. If it’s happening, you don’t need to worry about whether or not God will accomplish something good out of it, instead, all you need to be concerned about is what God wants you to do next in the middle of it.
