“Facelink”

Here are just a few of the interesting links I found on Facebook this morning!

40 maps that explain the world:

“Maps can be a remarkably powerful tool for understanding the world and how it works, but they show only what you ask them to. So when we saw a post sweeping the Web titled “40 maps they didn’t teach you in school,” one of which happens to be a WorldViews original, I thought we might be able to contribute our own collection.”

Hurting in Hope:

A good friend of mine has written a book that gives a first-hand glimpse into how Christians grieve. Not only will this book prepare help prepare you for suffering, it will help you as seek to comfort those who are hurting right now.

The World’s Monarchies:

I am looking forward to the day when Christ’s rule over the world is clearly visible.  Here are some stories about some of the individuals who people think are ruling presently as literal kings and queens.

Principle versus Preference:

We so often get more upset about things that annoy us than we do things that are objectively wrong.  This video is a graphic, extreme reminder of just how tempting it is to do just that.

Not so different after all:

A photographer uses photoshop to accomplish something quite different than you see on the covers of most magazines.  Instead of making the celebrities he pictures look better, he tries to help us see what they might look like if they hadn’t become famous.

Everything is Interesting:

Whenever I used to say that I was bored, my father would say something like, well that’s your choice.  Boredom is a choice.  What an interesting concept! This article talks about how to help your children learn to glorify God by fighting boredom!
